Jenny thinks: The sublime.
Jessica thinks: Uncluttered and soft. Different here. Movements, dried, dry dry in the gloom.
Jenny thinks: Gigantic.
Steffen says: They must seem smaller on the Suffolk beach.
Steffen thinks: Salty too.
Petter asks: Pigment in the breakers?
Jessica laughs: Fishermen in tents. I'm sure they think I'm mad! The beach is full of mad ladies.
Stian thinks: Parachuters plummeting into the Atlantic, fighting the heavy cloth.
Petter thinks: The pulling out. The pulling back in. The car trunk soaked.
Petter imagines: Shriveled jellyfish.
Morten says: Indexical.
Jenny says: Fibrous.

Mia reminds: The heavy water pulls them down and props them up straight. Remember they can bend and overlay.

About the artists:
Mia Marfurt (1985, Zürich) lives and works in Zürich. From 2011–2012 she was part of De Aterliers program at Rijksakademie, Amsterdam. Recent solo shows include Soft And Hard Factors at WallRiss, Fribourg; and Deutsche Oper at SALTS, Basel. Recent group shows include HONOLULU, Zürich; Môtiers 2015 - Art en Plein air in Môtiers, Switzerland; STUDIOLO, Milan; and PLYMOUTH ROCK, Zürich; Ellis King, Dublin; Kinman Gallery, London; Galerie Chez Valentin, Paris; her work is currently on view as part of Playing Pool with Eggs at Galerie Bernhard, Zürich.
Jessica Warboys (1977, Newport, UK) lives and works in Suffolk and Berlin. She was nominated for the Jarman Award and selected for Artists Film International, Whitechapel Art Gallery, London, both in 2013, and participated in dOCUMENTA 13, 2012. Recent and upcoming solo exhibitions include Gaudel de Stampa, Paris; Museum Leuven, Belgium; State of Concept, Athens, all in 2015; and Tate St Ives and Kunsthall Stavanger in 2016. Her work is currently on view in the British Art Show 8, Leeds.
